Registration and Information Desk
The desk will open through the conference as follows :
Wednesday 11 Nov. 9:00-10:30, Thursday 12 Nov., and Satureday
14 Nov. 9:00 - 13:00
and 14:00 - 17:00, Sunday 15 Nov. 9:30
- 13:00.
Participants are kindely requested upon registration to show documents
indicating payment of full conference fees at the registration desk, or
to pay (complete to the full fee) in cash.
Entry Visa
All non-Egyptian participants are requested to have a valid passport and
entry visa. Visas can be obtained from Egyptian consulate or embassy in
their countries in advance.
Conference Venue
The Conference will be held in Sharm El-Sheikh, the famous Egyptian resort
on the Aqaba Bay. Sharm El-Sheikh is located at ~550 km east of Cairo at
the vortex of Sinai peninsula with Aqaba Bay and the Red Sea. Being a city
of sun,sea and mountains, Sharm El-Sheikh is known as one of the most famous
world resorts. It offers all kinds of holidays, fun and entertainment,
while the spacious gardens and pool areas are quieter and more peaceful.
Sharm can be easily reached from Cairo by road using air-conditioned tourist
buses or by regular scheduled air-conditioned buses. Sharm El-Sheikh has
its international airport with flights coming directly from major cities
in Europe and North America. The conference venue is Dreams
Vacation Hotel, a five star resort on the Um El-Seid Cliff with a very
pleasant green area and view. The resort is located near to the centre
of the city (old market), it spreads over ~ 40,000 m2 of unspoiled grounds
with a marvelous and distinguished location in the heart of the beautiful
Um-El-Sid Cliff and with 400m2 private beach property. Enjoy the pleasures
of the crystal clear, turquoise water, the variety of exotic fish and the
coral reefs. Relax on the beach or enjoy water sports like snorkeling and
scuba diving. The resort is ~ 16 km form Sharm Intl airport. The climate
in Sharm during mid November is very favourable, the temperature range
is 19-26 C during the day and 10-16 C at night.
Cairo-Sharm Transportation
A special Cairo-Sharm bus transportation is organized for conference participants
and companions. The buses will depart from the EAEA site, 3 Ahned El-Zomor
St., El-Zohour distrct, Nasr City at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday 11 Nov. and
expected to arrive to Sharm at 19:00. The return trip will start at 14:00
on Sunday 15 from the conference venue. Arrival to Cairo (EAEA site) is
expected at 20:00, depending on traffic. The cost for the trip (Cairo-Sharm-Cairo)
is 200 EGP for Egyptian companions and 35 euro for non-Egyptian participants
and companions.
Participants from abroad are advised to arrange their arrival to Cairo
at 6:00 a.m., 3 hours before conference registration on Wednesday
11 Nov. at 9:00 a.m.). EAEA head quarter can be reached easily from Cairo
Internatipnal Airport by taxi, regular bus service, or by metro -bus/ taxi
from anywhere within Greater-Cairo.
Other alternative is to use the bus transportation of the East Delta
or Super Jet companies. Bus timetables and faires can be found using the
Ask Aladdin site (http://www.ask-aladdin.com/bus_schedules.htm). Current
one way prices are 85-100 EGP depending on bus providing company.
For prticipants using direct flights to Sharm El-Sheikh airport, taxi
or limosine service to conference hotels is available at ~ 20US$.
Hotel Information
The Organizing Committee had reserved a limited number of rooms for Egyptian
permanent residence participants in Mexicana Sharm Hotel, a 3-stars hotel
at a walkable distance from the conferennce venue. Non-Egyptian participants
who need hotel reservation are kindly requested to choose one of the hotels
mentioned below :
Dreams
Vacation Hotel the conference venie, a 5 star hotel at a HB rate
75 Euros per night in a single bed room (SBR). The rate per person in double-bed
room (DBR) is 58 Euros per night. For permanent residence Egyptians the
rates per person in EGP are 550 for SBR and 350 for DBR, correspondingly.
Partner
Sunset Sharm Hotel, a 3 star hotel at a HB rate per person per
night in Euros of 55 for SBR and 43 for DBR, respectively. For Egyptian
companions the rates per person per night in EGP are 350 for SBR and 275
for DBR, respectively.
For resident Egyptians who wish to change their stay to a 5-stars hotel,
the differnce is to be paid in-advance during registration.
Scientific Programme
The full programme including details of sessions, book of abstracts, and
other conference material will be available upon registration.
NUPPAC Awards
Prizes for best presentations by junior participants will be announced
during the concluding session just before conference closing.
Electronic Refereeing
To speedup publication, whenever deems possible electronic refereeing of
contributed articles will be done. Hence, authors are kindly requested
to provide within due dates on a CD or 3.5" diskette with a complete version
of their contributions written in editable format: MS-WORD or LaTeX source
file.

For this cultural evening a Bedouin night is oferred for participants
and companions. Additional details of the trip will be posted at the information
desk
Friday, 13 Nov.
For this free day for social events, a number of options are oferred:
- A round tour in glass-bottom boat examinig the under water world.
- A yacht trip to Tiran island.
- A trip to Ras Mohammad National Park famous by its fish and coral
reefs (by yacht or by car).
- A full day tour to Dahab City midway of Aqaba Gulf, famous by its
golden sands, turquoise sea, wonderful snorkeling opportunities and off-beat
cafe life.
- A full-day tour to St. Catherene Monastery and Moses' Mountain.
Participants and/or companions who have interest are requested to contact
the tourist representative at the registration desk for details.
Saturday, 14 Nov.
For this cultural evening an Arabian night is oferred for participants
and companions. Additional details of the trip will be posted at the information
desk
Sunday, 15 Nov.
The Conference Lunch will be held. Tickets will be provided in the
participants packs (against payment of 30 EGP for Egyptian participants).
The cost for accompanying person will be 75 LE/10 Euros to be paid in advance
at the registration time. Details will be announced.
Companions Tours
By companions we mean a person who is 1st rank relative to a registered
participant. For these companions several tours and trips could be organised.

Post-conference Tours
For post conference tours contact the information desk. Tours are available
at moderate prices to Cairo, Luxor, Aswan and Abu Simbel and to Hurgada
